About Montefiore Health System and the Role
Montefiore Health System's University Behavioral Associates (UBA) division in the Bronx is dedicated to enhancing child welfare services funded by NYC's Administration for Children’s Services (ACS). This full-time Data Analyst position supports quality assurance and improvement initiatives, aiming to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care for children and families in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain integrated systems combining clinical, operational, and administrative information
- Convert qualitative clinical data into quantifiable performance metrics
- Design tools, workflows, and dashboards for efficient data collection and reporting
- Assist clinical personnel with interpreting assessment outcomes
- Create concise data reports and visual presentations tailored for leadership and frontline staff
- Perform both automated and manual data validation and quality control
- Provide staff training focused on documentation accuracy, reporting mechanisms, and best data practices
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred in a related discipline
- Experience ranging from 1 to 3 years in data analysis or similar roles
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including PivotTables, Power Query, complex formulas, dashboards, conditional formatting, and data validation
- Familiarity with tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, RedCap, and PC-SAS
- Strong foundation in database management and data visualization techniques
- Knowledge of data privacy and security standards including HIPAA and 42 CFR
- Detail-focused with a strong commitment to enhancing systems that serve vulnerable populations
Additional Information and Terms
- Work location: 334 E. 148th St., 2nd Floor, Bronx, NY 10451; some travel is required
- Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 7.5 hours per day
- Grant funding supports this position
- Salary range: $64,000 to $80,000 annually
- Position is not remote; onsite presence is mandatory
