Quality Assurance Tester

Overview

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans and scripts derived from project documents including business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Validate data using tools such as SQL queries to ensure accuracy.
• Identify, track, and report defects, aligning them with different phases of the development life cycle.
• Collaborate closely with the Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE), project managers, and solution teams to uphold and enforce quality standards.
• Verify functional capabilities and performance stability metrics like response time for final products.
• Engage actively in defect triage meetings and provide valuable input.
• Maintain up-to-date QA status reports on a daily and weekly basis, including relevant metrics.
• Promptly communicate and escalate quality-related issues as necessary.
• Demonstrate openness to acquiring new skills related to evolving technologies, tools, and applications supporting the business.

Experience and Skills Required

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in software testing.
• Proficient in functional testing methods such as system acceptance and regression testing.
• At least one year of hands-on experience utilizing UiPath or equivalent RPA automated testing tools along with scripting languages like Playwright and Python.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and defect tracking software such as Zephyr or JIRA.
• Strong analytical abilities and effective communication skills to interact professionally across teams.
• Experience with multiple testing life cycles including system, integration, user acceptance, and end-to-end testing.
• Understanding of various testing methodologies relevant to the software development life cycle.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Past experience in the retail industry domain.
• Advance skills in RPA automated testing tools, preferably UiPath.
• Proficient in scripting languages like Playwright and Python for automation.
• Familiarity working within Agile project environments.
• Experience testing applications hosted on IBM iSeries platforms.

Projected Salary Range: $77,000 to $86,750 annually.
