About the Company and Role
The Arab Lens is a reputable manufacturing enterprise committed to operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable expansion. To support its strategic growth, they are seeking a Manufacturing Director to lead their production operations, focusing on enhancing efficiency, quality, and continual development.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement comprehensive manufacturing strategies aligned with business goals.
- Manage operations across multiple production sites or extensive manufacturing facilities.
- Set and monitor operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and production targets.
- Initiate programs to boost productivity, enhance quality, and reduce costs.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing practices and Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Supervise departments including engineering, maintenance, production planning, and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental regulations and quality standards.
- Oversee manufacturing budgets and lead capital investment projects effectively.
- Drive the deployment of manufacturing technologies and automation improvements.
- Foster leadership development and succession planning to build strong teams.
- Work collaboratively with senior executives on strategic plans and growth opportunities.
- Report manufacturing performance metrics and provide strategic recommendations to top management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Advanced credentials such as an MBA or postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Over 15 years of escalating leadership experience in manufacturing environments.
- Proven track record managing large-scale manufacturing operations.
- In-depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and Operational Excellence.
- Strong commercial insight with expertise in finance and strategic business planning.
- Excellent leadership qualities and executive-level communication skills.
- Experience working within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region's manufacturing sector is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
