Role Overview

As a Maintenance Planner, you will handle key responsibilities that challenge your skills and enable you to reach your full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed maintenance work plans accounting for labor, materials, tools, safety protocols, and necessary training
  • Develop and oversee both short-term and long-term maintenance schedules coordinating with operations, engineering, and plant leadership
  • Prioritize maintenance tasks—corrective, preventative, and predictive—to reduce equipment downtime
  • Ensure all work orders are thoroughly scoped, planned, and ready to be executed
  • Analyze equipment history and failure patterns to enhance reliability and decrease recurring issues
  • Engage in root cause analysis and apply corrective measures
  • Verify availability of parts, materials, and tools before scheduled maintenance activities
  • Maintain up-to-date maintenance records, key performance indicators, and reporting metrics

Qualifications and Experience

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in maintenance planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment; familiarity with corrugated or heavy industrial sectors preferred
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems within production environments
  • Competent in using MS365 and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems such as SOP, Maximo, or similar platforms
