About the Role
BusRight aims to revolutionize student transportation, and we're seeking a dedicated Learning Specialist to champion this initiative. This position plays a vital role in guiding customers through onboarding and ongoing training with attentiveness and a hospitality-centered approach. As a Learning Specialist, you are often the initial representative interacting with users encountering our platform, ensuring they feel confident and supported.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct live virtual onboarding sessions tailored for diverse customer groups including school transportation teams, administrators, bus drivers, and technical users.
- Adjust training delivery methods based on participant skill levels, goals, and feedback for maximum engagement.
- Serve as the main contact for all onboarding-related inquiries during training periods.
- Design and manage all follow-up communication post-training to reinforce learning.
- Deliver in-person training and onboarding support by traveling to client sites across the U.S., which may involve travel up to 35% of workdays monthly.
- Coordinate with customers to schedule training sessions, provide consistent follow-up, and monitor progression through the onboarding process ensuring no user is left unsupported.
- Evaluate engagement and learning outcomes continually to refine training techniques.
- Collaborate with program and customer success teams to ensure seamless transition after onboarding.
- Develop knowledge retention systems to maintain trust and create superior customer experiences.
- Create comprehensive training sequences mapping the required skills for core features and additional platform tools.
- Work closely with implementation and customer success managers to update and improve training content.
- Track training performance across accounts and identify trends or gaps to address.
- Advance into a leadership role responsible for shaping overall training strategy, tools, and onboarding processes over time.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in roles involving customer-facing training, onboarding, implementation, or PK-12 education.
- Proficient in conducting professional virtual trainings, live demonstrations, or classroom sessions with clear communication.
- Agile in adapting teaching styles suited to varied customer needs and capable of managing unpredictable situations.
- Exceptional communication skills that simplify complex subjects for learner understanding.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and host several sessions daily.
- Keen curiosity with a strong desire to analyze, test, and improve training methods continually.
- Empathetic approach, meeting learners at their level to support their progress effectively.
- Embodies a grounded approach, passionate about education, and thrives in a collaborative, mission-focused environment aligning with organizational values.
