Role Overview
We seek a motivated, detail-focused Junior Accounts Payable professional to join our team. This entry-level role offers valuable exposure and skill development in financial accounting within a fast-paced environment. The candidate will assist daily accounting tasks while ensuring precision in financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify and process invoices related to received goods and services.
- Ensure consistency between purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documents.
- Prepare and perform payments to suppliers regularly.
- Maintain comprehensive records of accounts payable activities.
- Address vendor queries regarding payment and invoice statuses.
- Help reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Review and process employee expense reports.
- Contribute to the month-end closing by timely handling of invoices.
- Organize and file documentation relevant for auditing and compliance.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to solve payment-related issues.
Qualifications
- Prior experience within an accounting department.
- Higher education in finance, accounting, or related fields preferred.
- Proficiency in the English language is mandatory.
- Strong command of MS Excel.
- Analytical mindset with problem identification and resolution capabilities.
- Proactive and team-oriented work approach.
- Attributes such as independence, reliability, dedication, and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with financial systems like Oracle, Optima, or Symfonia.
