Role Summary
ABM Industries is hiring a dependable Janitorial Cleaner to help keep assigned facilities clean, safe, and organized. This position is important for preserving a professional look and sanitary conditions throughout the workplace, supporting a positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Carry out everyday cleaning work such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and other surfaces.
- Disinfect restrooms, restock consumables, and make sure hygiene standards are maintained.
- Remove trash and recycling and dispose of waste according to company guidelines.
- Clean glass surfaces including windows and mirrors.
- Properly care for, organize, and store cleaning tools and supplies.
- Notify the supervisor about maintenance concerns, safety risks, or low supply levels.
- Support room setups and post-event cleanups for meetings, events, or special assignments when required.
- Adhere to all safety rules and sanitation procedures set by the company.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior work in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning positions is an advantage.
- Ability to work on your own and use time well.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety practices is helpful.
- Strong focus on detail and consistent quality is important.
