Overview
Royal London Ireland is seeking a skilled IT Support Analyst to join their Application Services team based in Dublin with a hybrid working model. This role focuses on providing expert application support across business-critical systems, ensuring performance, stability, and continuous enhancement. The analyst will work collaboratively with different business and technology teams to resolve technical issues and improve service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced technical support for essential business applications.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve incidents and technical problems efficiently.
- Monitor application performance to maintain service reliability.
- Engage with Operations teams to understand system usage and business workflows.
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of application features, data flow, and integrations.
- Maintain up-to-date support documentation, issue logs, and knowledge bases.
- Gain insight into application architecture, cloud environments (with emphasis on Azure), and data integrations.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams to troubleshoot issues.
- Provide support for SQL-based investigations, validations, and problem-solving.
- Assist with environment-level changes and initiatives to enhance technology capabilities.
- Identify and address root causes of repeated problems to implement durable solutions.
- Support production releases, operational readiness activities, and project delivery.
- Promote improvements in support processes and service management.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in application or systems support or technical operations roles.
- Strong proficiency with SQL and data investigation techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure.
- Ability to troubleshoot across multiple layers including application, database, and infrastructure.
- Analytical thinker with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- High attention to detail and dedication to resolving issues thoroughly.
- Excellent communication skills with the capability to liaise with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
