Role Overview
The HR Executive role at Unilever's Amli Factory in Silvassa is integral to fostering an inclusive performance culture and aligning human resource strategies with broader company goals. This position focuses on partnering with business units to execute HR strategies, support transformation, and maintain harmonious industrial relations ensuring operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in implementing the Unit's HR strategy in alignment with company policies and governance standards.
- Ensure full availability of permanent and contractual workforce through effective manpower planning and recruitment.
- Manage employee discipline by monitoring unauthorized absences.
- Support design and execution of support systems like succession planning, mentoring, coaching, and induction programs.
- Maintain recruitment data and facilitate hiring and induction of temporary workers; assess and ensure effectiveness of recruitment processes.
- Organize comprehensive induction training involving theoretical, practical, and on-the-job components.
- Coordinate appraisal processes for trainees, probationers, and confirmed employees.
- Assist in driving cultural development, change initiatives, and promote inclusion focusing on diverse groups like PwDs, women, and LGBTQ+.
- Promote initiatives for workplace integration and collaboration across the supply chain with robust communication strategies including forums, briefings, and newsletters.
- Lead skill development aligned with factory master plans through training calendars, job rotation, and external collaborations.
- Manage learning facilities and evaluate training impact for continuous improvement.
- Retain key talent by capability enhancement and clear career progression paths.
- Oversee performance management ensuring compliance, monitoring review systems especially for blue-collar workforce, and handling exits and counseling.
- Maintain productive employee relations, effectively manage union negotiations, conflict resolutions, and liaise with government and political entities.
- Drive CSR projects like 'Prabhat' to build sustainable community ecosystems at the site.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in human resource management.
- Hold a Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Personnel Management or Human Resource Management.
Key Competencies
- Expertise in union engagement and management.
- Sound knowledge of statutory labor compliances.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities.
