Job Purpose
The role involves ensuring student success and helping learners achieve their maximum potential by applying SABIS®'s curriculum and educational philosophy, supported consistently by their teaching methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lessons using the available plans or develop them using pacing charts for subjects taught, incorporating the SABIS® point system.
- Grade exams for the taught subjects as scheduled, following provided materials.
- Work collaboratively with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department on student discipline and performance matters.
- Utilize the SABIS® Point System to foster a positive learning atmosphere in the classroom.
- Supervise exams ensuring they are conducted appropriately and environments are well managed.
- Support students who are performing below expectations by offering guidance and motivation to boost their academic performance.
- Assist in preparing students for external exams by reviewing past papers according to the revision timetable.
- Undertake additional duties such as student testing, substitute teaching, organizing logistics for lunches and buses, managing traffic, and other administrative tasks as directed.
- Contribute to student life activities planning, including arts, open houses, and physical education, in conjunction with the Student Life Coordinator.
- Participate in training sessions requested by school management to deepen understanding of the SABIS® system and improve student outcomes.
- Carry out other related tasks assigned by school leadership.
