About CareChoice Trim Nursing Home

We are currently hiring full-time Healthcare Assistants to join our Trim nursing home team. This role offers a valuable opportunity to enhance your skills within a supportive, experienced group of healthcare professionals, serving a diverse and multicultural resident community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist nursing staff in delivering comprehensive and high-quality care tailored to each resident's needs.
- Maintain residents' personal hygiene and care with utmost respect and dignity.
- Support residents with their nutritional needs, helping with eating and drinking as required.
- Aid residents in mobility, ensuring the correct use of assistive devices.
- Escort and transfer residents safely as directed by nursing personnel.
- Provide support during end-of-life care situations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing or management staff.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a QQI/FETAC qualification or equivalent experience in a related care setting is desirable.
- Practical experience working in a caregiving role is preferred.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Professional, compassionate, and empathetic approach towards residents.
- Ability to handle challenging environments with resilience.
- Proficient English communication skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays from Monday to Sunday.
