Food & Beverage Captain

Role Overview

We invite you to join Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong as a Food & Beverage Captain, stationed at our Baba Chews Restaurant (Non-Halal). This position demands ambition, talent and key skills to provide excellent guest service.

Key Responsibilities

• Possess thorough knowledge of all food and beverage menus available for Room Service and poolside offerings.
• Demonstrate understanding of wines and appropriate wine pairings.
• Warmly welcome guests and promptly serve ordered items.
• Occasionally handle room service orders remotely using telephone and in-room ordering applications or devices.
• Collect orders from the kitchen, verifying correct preparation and presentation.
• Stay informed about daily promotions, specials, and other relevant food and beverage information.
• Follow-up with guests to ensure satisfaction and attend to additional requests.
• Inspect storage areas to confirm supplies are organized, properly stored, and clean.
• Anticipate operational needs and guest requirements proactively.
• Maintain room service equipment in good working order and report any issues to the Room Service Manager.
• Maintain impeccable personal appearance, including wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Operations Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School diploma or Vocational Certificate in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or closely related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant professional experience or equivalent combined education and experience.
• Experience with bartending, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage preparation, is considered advantageous.
