Finance Manager - FMCG

About the Role

Barden is partnering with a prominent Irish company to appoint a Finance Manager within their Group Finance team. This role offers the chance to influence a wide range of finance functions and strengthen the governance and control framework concerning supplier income across the business.

Collaborating closely with multiple departments, the Finance Manager will ensure that supplier income is accurately reported and governed through rigorous processes and controls. This position is ideal for a finance professional with a commercial mindset who excels in relationship building, stakeholder collaboration, and driving process improvements.

This role provides frequent interaction with senior leadership, offering significant visibility and an opportunity to make a substantial impact within a progressive and cooperative Finance team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and improve the group-wide supplier income governance framework to guarantee strong controls, compliance, and oversight throughout all business divisions.
• Provide independent verification and assurance of supplier income accounting, governance, and reporting efforts.
• Track and manage risks related to supplier income, including identifying control weaknesses and implementing remediation plans while promoting ongoing enhancements.
• Prepare detailed governance reports and actionable insights for senior executives, financial control committees, and the Audit Committee.
• Serve as the Group's subject matter expert by collaborating with Commercial, Trading, Finance, Audit, and Technology departments to boost governance and control effectiveness.
• Lead initiatives aimed at transforming the supplier income processes by emphasizing standardization, automation, and adoption of best practices.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with over 5 years of experience post-qualification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills combined with meticulous attention to detail.
• Highly organized, capable of prioritizing tasks efficiently and ensuring completion.
• Strong technical expertise relevant to financial governance and controls.
• Possesses a positive demeanor and high ethical standards.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
