Role Overview
FDM Group is looking for a motivated Finance Assistant to join their finance team based in Brighton. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data related to international client accounts, particularly reconciling client payments against raised invoices to maintain ledger integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed reconciliation tasks connecting client payments to sales ledger invoices, guaranteeing correctness and completeness.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, short payments, and allocation inconsistencies promptly.
- Manage precise cash allocation and monitoring of account balances within international ledgers.
- Handle a portfolio of international clients by managing reconciliations and resolving queries effectively.
- Collaborate with billing, sales, and operations teams to uncover and resolve root causes behind reconciliation discrepancies.
- Enhance reconciliation processes, internal controls, and reporting mechanisms for efficiency.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including ledger reviews and balance confirmations.
- Oversee aged items primarily from a query resolution viewpoint rather than collections.
