About the Role
Lead the startup and commissioning activities for various process systems including reformer furnaces, feed gas, steam, fuel gas, process air, syngas units, and related utilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversaw coordination between multidisciplinary teams such as operations, engineering, contractors, licensors, and vendors to ensure a safe and effective plant startup.
- Prepared and evaluated commissioning procedures, startup plans, testing documentation, operating manuals, and system turnover packages.
- Performed functional tests on control systems, safety interlocks, emergency shutdown systems, burner management systems, and process control loops.
- Supported critical operations including catalyst reduction, reformer furnace heat-up, steam purging, introduction of feedstock, optimization of processes, and validation of performance guarantees.
- Maintained strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, process safety management, and permit-to-work processes during all commissioning and startup stages.
- Engaged in troubleshooting to address process disturbances, equipment issues, and improve hydrogen and syngas production efficiency.
- Successfully transitioned commissioned systems to operations, confirming the achievement of design parameters for capacity, reliability, and performance.
