Business Analyst

About the Role

We seek a seasoned Business Analyst to play a vital role in supporting digital transformation and various technology initiatives. This position involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and project teams to ensure the success of digital products and enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, examine, and document business, functional, and system requirements.
• Organize and lead workshops, engage stakeholders, and conduct requirements gathering sessions.
• Convert business needs into user stories, functional specifications, process workflows, and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with product managers, project managers, developers, architects, QA teams, and vendors throughout project phases.
• Analyze current business processes and propose enhancements to improve operational efficiency and user experience.
• Assist in solution design, evaluate impacts, and participate in technology assessments.
• Support system integration, plan and oversee testing phases including SIT and UAT, facilitate deployment, and prepare production readiness activities.
• Maintain requirement traceability, track change requests, and keep thorough project documentation.
• Create reports, dashboards, presentations, and business cases to inform stakeholders.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and contribute to digital transformation programs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of five years as an IT or Digital Business Analyst.
• Proficient in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and solution design.
• Strong familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
• Skilled in preparing user stories, business requirements documents, functional specs, workflows, and process maps.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Experienced in tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and Visio.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

• Involvement in digital transformation projects.
• Experience with government or public sector projects.
• Background working with enterprise applications and system integrations.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCC.
• Ability to work with data analytics or business intelligence.
• Product management expertise.
• Experience in procurement or contract management.
• Familiarity with process improvement and service design methodologies.
• Exposure to AI-enabled solutions.
• Professional certifications like CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Scrum Master, or Product Owner are advantageous.
