Role Overview
The Booking Agent position is a full-time, on-location role based in Nanyuki, Kenya. The primary responsibility is to handle safari reservation management and provide comprehensive support to guests throughout their booking journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding safari options and availability.
- Design personalized itineraries tailored to guests’ preferences.
- Coordinate with guiding and operations teams to confirm availability and logistics.
- Utilize booking systems to secure reservations, process payments, and maintain precise records.
- Communicate clearly with guests and travel partners through email, phone, and other communication platforms.
- Assist the sales team by following up on potential leads and presenting suitable safari packages.
- Ensure an outstanding pre-trip experience by addressing guests’ needs and questions efficiently.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of one year of proven experience in tourism bookings and sales.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact professionally with guests, partners, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in using booking and reservation software to manage availability, itineraries, and payments.
- Excellent customer service abilities to respond to inquiries and resolve any issues effectively.
- Sales and negotiation competency to convert inquiries into confirmed bookings and offer appropriate options.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate documentation and scheduling.
- Ability to work full-time at the Nanyuki, Kenya location and collaborate well with operations and guiding personnel.
- Fluent in English language.
- Familiarity with using artificial intelligence tools to improve efficiency is advantageous.
