Role Overview
This position is suited for professionals beginning their journey in project management who are eager to engage in meaningful work. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will collaborate closely with seasoned project managers and field leaders, honing coordination skills and developing the instincts essential for successful construction management. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and managing resources for commercial construction projects.
- Monitor project milestones and deliverables to ensure timelines and budgetary goals are met.
- Identify and suggest improvements to enhance team efficiency and process effectiveness.
- Serve as a liaison between project managers, field personnel, clients, and subcontractors to maintain clear and consistent communication.
- Prepare updates on project progress, status reports, and maintain essential documentation.
- Collaborate with field teams to uphold quality standards and meet client expectations.
- Maintain accurate project records including contracts, submittals, and change orders.
- Ensure work aligns with project specifications and company quality benchmarks.
- Address project issues proactively by coordinating solutions among internal teams and external partners to maintain workflow continuity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience or exposure to commercial construction or project coordination is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both interpersonal and written.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with construction management software is advantageous.
