About the Role
Ogletree Deakins is seeking a skilled Docketing Specialist to join their Client Information Risk Services department in Tampa, FL. The position is fully remote and designed for professionals who thrive on collaboration, critical thinking, and high attention to detail. The Docketing Specialist will oversee vital docketing and calendaring processes, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with judiciary procedures. This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee entry and scheduling of records, deadlines, and data into the docketing system.
- Generate, verify, and distribute both standard and custom docketing reports as mandated by departmental schedules.
- Analyze and interpret state, federal, and individual judge rules to ensure accurate calculation and communication of deadlines.
- Identify and resolve conflicting data before finalizing entries in the docketing system.
- Maintain and archive source documents and docket confirmations within the firm’s Document Management System.
- Stay informed about changes in relevant legal procedures and rules affecting docketing or calendaring duties.
- Conduct thorough research on jurisdictional regulations as needed for project assignments.
- Utilize the docketing software to apply correct juridical rules to calendar calculations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
- Minimum of 4 years’ litigation experience.
- Familiarity with CourtAlert or comparable docketing platforms preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Document Management Systems.
- Comfortable working with PACER and Electronic Court Filings (ECF) platforms.
- Strong analytical, research, and data integration skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration across multiple teams and levels.

- Salary range varies by state: e.g., $64,800–$97,200 (CO), $71,440–$107,160 (NY/NJ/CA), $67,920–$101,880 (IL/DC/WA), $60,880–$91,320 (Baltimore).
