Job Overview
The Assistant Manager will act as the key liaison for HR-related concerns within the Global Delivery Center (GDC), collaborating closely with business leaders to enhance employee engagement, foster productive work relationships, and implement retention strategies. This role requires proactive partnership with HR leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals and timely resolution of HR issues.
Relationship and Account Management
- Serve as the primary HR contact for local business leaders within the GDC.
- Lead and strategize employee engagement programs to boost morale, productivity, and retention.
- Work alongside the HR Business Partner lead to communicate HR strategies and concerns to business stakeholders.
- Influence business points of contact to act promptly in addressing business requirements and challenges.
- Provide counseling and mentorship to junior staff members in consultation with business leadership.
Organizational Development and Change Management
- Deliver relevant HR data, metrics, and analytics to support informed business decisions.
- Offer guidance and interpretation of HR policies to ensure compliance and clarity.
- Support resolution of critical or sensitive issues related to customer service and operations.
- Align HR solutions with the overarching business strategy.
- Facilitate cultural change initiatives, including executing action plans based on staff surveys and empowering managers to take ownership of their teams.
HR Business Partner Responsibilities
- Implement and advocate process and policy recommendations.
- Evaluate HR demands and convey needs to appropriate HR specialists and support teams.
- Collaborate with HR subject matter experts, operations, and shared services to tailor HR solutions to business needs.
- Support the delivery of superior HR services and uphold high standards within the HR team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by line or senior management.
- Drive the performance management process for the GDC.
Qualifications
A postgraduate degree such as an MBA is required for this position.
