About the Company

Milliman is a prominent global consultancy specializing in actuarial and related services. Operating since 1947, the company offers expertise in healthcare, insurance (life, property & casualty), financial services, and employee benefits. The office in Pakistan, anticipated to be fully operational in 2024, will focus on delivering projects for clients across the Middle East and GCC region.

Role Overview

This role centers on actuarial support for various consulting assignments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate project delivery while liaising with clients and supporting actuarial activities related to the GCC market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage multiple projects to maintain efficiency and high quality.
  • Calculate and reserve technical provisions and analyze solvency requirements.
  • Conduct reviews of pricing and underwriting, including solvency evaluations.
  • Communicate directly with clients to understand their needs and report on deliverables.
  • Support general actuarial consulting and contribute to tasks such as IFRS 17 disclosures and validation against IFRS 4.
  • Assist with reinsurance analytics and provide ongoing consulting support as needed.
  • Participate in other project development or special assignments as they arise.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of statistical software such as SAS and R.
  • Prior involvement with the Middle East or GCC market is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and project management abilities.
  • Capability to lead and advance key projects and initiatives.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a similar field with a quantitative focus.
  • Ideally an associate, fellow, or progressing towards associate status in a recognized actuarial body.
