About the Role

Hyrd Consulting is recruiting an Accountant for a rapidly expanding technology startup that operates across the UAE, MENA, and US markets. This position requires a proactive finance expert with strong experience using the Xero ERP system who can manage cash flow forecasting, financial reporting, and daily accounting tasks within a dynamic startup setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an 8 to 12 week rolling cash flow forecast.
  • Monitor daily cash balances and manage working capital efficiently.
  • Prepare and review monthly profit & loss statements as well as balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee the general ledger through Xero ERP.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable, collections, and Accounts Payable functions.
  • Process payments to suppliers and assist with payroll activities.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to UAE VAT requirements and UK accounting standards.
  • Generate financial reports for company leadership and drive improvements in finance processes.

Candidate Requirements

  • Between 3 and 10 years of accounting experience, preferably within startups or technology firms.
  • Mandatory hands-on expertise with the Xero ERP system.
