About the Role
Hyrd Consulting is recruiting an Accountant for a rapidly expanding technology startup that operates across the UAE, MENA, and US markets. This position requires a proactive finance expert with strong experience using the Xero ERP system who can manage cash flow forecasting, financial reporting, and daily accounting tasks within a dynamic startup setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an 8 to 12 week rolling cash flow forecast.
- Monitor daily cash balances and manage working capital efficiently.
- Prepare and review monthly profit & loss statements as well as balance sheet reconciliations.
- Oversee the general ledger through Xero ERP.
- Manage Accounts Receivable, collections, and Accounts Payable functions.
- Process payments to suppliers and assist with payroll activities.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Ensure adherence to UAE VAT requirements and UK accounting standards.
- Generate financial reports for company leadership and drive improvements in finance processes.
Candidate Requirements
- Between 3 and 10 years of accounting experience, preferably within startups or technology firms.
- Mandatory hands-on expertise with the Xero ERP system.
- Proven skills in cash flow forecasting and managing working capital.
- Strong grasp of profit & loss accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and comprehensive financial reporting.
- Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations and UK accounting standards.
