Overview
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Procurement Specialist to become a key member of our client's team in Dublin. This full-time, permanent role offers a salary ranging from €40,000 to €45,000 depending on experience. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm.
Role Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete purchasing and procurement lifecycle, coordinating supply chain activities, and maintaining strong supplier relations. Your objective will be to ensure timely availability of materials, streamline operations, minimize delays, and contribute to growth by driving supply chain efficiencies within a dynamic environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end procurement and purchasing functions.
- Coordinate supply chain operations to align material availability with business needs.
- Manage supplier performance by negotiating pricing, contracts, and service agreements.
- Establish and nurture robust relationships with suppliers.
- Organize logistics and transportation workflows.
- Monitor inventory status and resource supply.
- Identify supply chain bottlenecks and design strategies to mitigate delays.
- Facilitate seamless communication among purchasing, operations, warehouse, and logistics teams.
- Analyze supply chain metrics to find areas for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with operations and internal stakeholders to fulfill customer requirements.
- Generate performance reports, track KPIs, and support strategic initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in similar supply chain and procurement roles within an Irish-based company.
- Expertise in supply chain management, procurement, purchasing, logistics, inventory control, supplier management, and operational planning.
- Strong skills in supplier negotiation and managing contract agreements.
- Demonstrated capability in reducing supply chain delays and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient communication abilities and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel competency.
- Unrestricted legal right to work in Ireland (no visa or work permit sponsorship provided).
Preferred Experience
- Background in manufacturing, engineering, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.
- Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies or Lean processes.
- Knowledgeable in demand planning, inventory management, and materials planning.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary in the range of €40,000 to €45,000 based on experience.
