Role Overview
The Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Manager is a pivotal leadership role focused on integrating key functions through a cohesive planning process that enhances business transparency and aligns the supply chain with demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and guide the S&OP process to synchronize sales, supply chain, production, purchasing, distribution, and inventory planning.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure a unified S&OP strategy.
- Evaluate demand forecasts alongside production capabilities to improve supply chain efficiency.
- Establish and track S&OP-related metrics and KPIs to measure process effectiveness.
- Manage Demand Planning (DP), Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP), and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) activities.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts within the S&OP process aimed at boosting efficiency and lowering costs.
- Lead S&OP meetings to promote organizational consensus on critical business choices.
- Set inventory policies and regulate inventory levels to strike a balance between supply and demand while minimizing surplus and obsolescence risks.
Position Requirements
Education: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related disciplines, with additional qualifications like an MBA or specialized S&OP training being advantageous.
Experience:
- At least 8 years of experience in sales and operations planning or related planning roles.
- Minimum of 8 years in leadership positions.
- More than 5 years of experience in the FMCG sector.
- Preferably experience working within the United States market.
Location: Onsite role based in Miami, Florida, with willingness to travel primarily along the U.S. East Coast.
