About the Role

As a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, you will become an integral part of the Hard FM Projects team, focusing on all financial and commercial activities that support the successful delivery of both minor and major projects. Collaborating with stakeholders across operations, capital initiatives, and the commercial division, you'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate contract alignment and effective cost management. The position is based in Dublin, with frequent site visits alongside Project Managers to ensure hands-on involvement in project progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to bid and business development processes, providing commercial expertise and ensuring alignment in scope, price, and scheduling from tender to supply chain contracts.
  • Evaluate, report, and facilitate sign-off on project-specific commercial plans, confirming that contract obligations are correctly understood and interpreted.
  • Analyze contractor tenders, attend site meetings, and offer commercial advice based on current site conditions to inform decision-making.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Estimators to accurately price projects, oversee application for payments, and manage contractual variations with full supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and negotiate final account claims, administer the monthly Work-In-Progress (WIP) process, and provide in-depth forecasts and reports regarding project financials.
  • Administer subcontract orders, value sub-contractor works, and manage payment processes, proactively pursuing payment notices and maintaining thorough contract compliance.
  • Support Project Managers by reviewing project programmes, identifying delays, and ensuring compliance with best practices and company procedures.

Required Skills & Attributes

  • Demonstrated experience in a quantity surveying or estimating role within facilities services or construction.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret contract documentation and provide robust commercial advice.
  • Experience or familiarity with Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Full Irish driving license is preferred.

Benefits & Support

  • Complimentary online consultations via Web-doctor.
  • Competitive remuneration package.
  • Contributory pension scheme (after qualifying period).
  • 21 days of annual leave, increasing up to 26 days with continued service.
  • Additional paid leave on your birthday after one year of service.
  • Access to staff discounts and benefits programs.
  • Employee Assistance Programme for wellbeing and support.
  • Comprehensive professional training and development opportunities.
  • Flexible pay options through the Wagestream App (contract dependent).
  • Digital learning via the OCS Academy for personal and professional growth.
  • Retail perks and wellness resources via the Hapi app.
