Job description
Position Overview
The Operations Consultant partners closely with the Operations Supervisor to ensure efficient stockroom organization and timely merchandise updates within the store.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver courteous, knowledgeable support to customers during operational hours.
- Assist in coaching cashiers and consultants on the use of Point-of-Sale (POS) and Mobile POS systems.
- Help uphold cleanliness and orderliness in the cashier area.
- Support the maintenance of Sephora’s merchandising standards.
- Participate actively in initiatives aimed at minimizing inventory shrinkage.
- Receive and process shipments promptly and accurately.
- Organize the stockroom according to company protocols.
- Handle stock transfers, damaged items, and tester products following company guidelines.
- Inspect all visual merchandising elements and report any missing or damaged materials to the Operations Supervisor.
- Maintain safety and tidiness standards consistently.
- Report inventory concerns to Supervisory or Managerial staff.
- Ensure strict adherence to sampling policies and procedures.
- Engage in inventory control activities.
- Designated consultants will receive cross-training to perform cashier duties as well.
Qualifications and Skills
- Between one and two years of retail or client service experience, ideally including stockroom responsibilities.
- Competency in computer use, arithmetic calculations, and organizational methods.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks while attentively addressing customer and business requirements.
- Strong time management, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands
- Working environment includes exposure to fragrances.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Requirement to bend and stretch for shelf stocking duties.
Compensation and Benefits
