Job Duties

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Proficient medical coding skills with documented experience within clinical or hospital environments.
• Thorough understanding of medical terminology and principles of health information management for accurate, regulatory-compliant documentation.
• Pertinent certification such as RHIT or an equivalent credential evidencing expertise in health information and coding.
• Familiarity with ICD, CPT, and other prevailing coding frameworks, along with adherence to payer policies and regulatory directives.
• Educational background including a diploma or degree in Health Information Management, Medical Records, or a related healthcare discipline.
• High attention to detail, analytical capabilities, and competence in using electronic health record systems and coding software.
