Job description
About Us
The Berufsgenossenschaft Holz und Metall (BGHM) stands as one of Germany's principal statutory accident insurance providers, safeguarding approximately 5 million insured individuals across over 248,000 businesses in two key sectors. Our mission focuses on aiding those exposed to occupational hazards or affected by workplace accidents and occupational illnesses.
BGHM prides itself on the timely and secure adoption of current technologies, coupled with continuous advancement and modification of IT solutions. We foster short decision-making pathways, empower autonomous work, and nurture a collaborative atmosphere that drives success within interdisciplinary teams.
In collaboration with other accident insurance providers, we are advancing our use of CRM applications. Therefore, we are seeking dedicated IT Coordinators—with an emphasis on client support—to help position our core CRM system as the leading application in statutory accident insurance. IT Coordinators act as critical liaisons between business units and the IT NOVA department.
Key Responsibilities
- Gathering and analyzing requirements and processes, especially regarding the ongoing development of the core CRM application (nova.APPLICATIONS) used by BGHM and additional accident insurance carriers.
- Leading or participating in project groups and work committees for the introduction and enhancement of nova.APPLICATIONS.
- Validating requirements, ensuring comprehensive business relevance, conducting application testing, and supporting implementation efforts.
- Developing process descriptions, use cases, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation.
- Performing error diagnostics, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing system performance.
- Translating business requirements effectively to the IT department for technological delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Relevant completed higher education degree (Bachelor, FH-Diploma), preferably in (Business) Informatics, IT management, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Strong IT interest with preferably initial experience in IT administration focused on digitalizing and automating business processes.
- Project management experience is preferred, including potential leadership roles.
- Innovative and creative mindset combined with analytical and conceptual skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities, supported by process- and quality-driven work methods.
- Proficient spoken and written German language at C2 level.
- Willingness to travel for work purposes.
We Offer
- Permanent full-time employment contract; part-time options considered upon appropriate applications.
- Salary according to pay grade 9c-11 BG-AT based on qualifications, experience, and responsibilities, supplemented with a full 13th monthly salary (annual range: 51,756 to 88,095 EUR).
- Subsidized Germany-wide job ticket.
- Flexible working hours and 30 vacation days annually.
- Partial option for mobile working.
- Ergonomic workplaces equipped with modern IT hardware at respective office locations.
- Friendly work atmosphere and family-supportive setting with on-site daycare (Mainz location).
- Convenient location offering ample free parking and excellent public transportation connections.
- Meal services including breakfast and lunch available at the Mainz office cafeteria.
- Comprehensive opportunities for professional training and development.
- Varied health promotion initiatives.
- Corporate benefits program.
- Public service social security benefits, including supplementary company pension plans.
