We seek a Data Science Engineer who applies mathematical, statistical, and IT expertise alongside semiconductor physics and materials science to analyze complex data. Collaboration with data scientists, engineers, and UX teams is key to identify and solve data-related challenges, develop software and algorithms, and manage large, diverse datasets. This position offers significant opportunities for exploratory work and creating novel solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement methods and systems to integrate and analyze varied big data, yielding actionable insights that enhance products and client services.
• Collaborate with product and service teams to define data-driven questions and experimental challenges.
• Design and code automated tools, algorithms, and software to cleanse and evaluate extensive datasets from multiple sources.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of data science models, including design, deployment, maintenance, and monitoring.
• Extract valuable insights from large datasets and metadata, clearly communicating findings to stakeholders across business and technical teams.
• Adopt AI-assisted tools to improve daily workflows efficiently, maintaining compliance with standards and regulations.
• Foster continuous improvement cultures by exploring and integrating AI-enabled enhancements within work scopes.

Candidate Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related disciplines.
• Solid knowledge of statistical modeling, advanced analytics, and contemporary machine learning methods.
• Competence in data retrieval via SQL and other queries, alongside data cleaning, outlier detection, and handling of missing data.
• Familiarity with data visualization software like Tableau or PowerBI.
• Experience creating interactive user interfaces with frameworks such as Streamlit, React, or Angular, incorporating UI/UX best practices.
• Proficiency in Python and programming.
• Strong communication skills for effectively presenting complex data insights to a varied audience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to function independently while collaborating within diverse teams.
• Proven track record of managing priorities and delivering quality results in a dynamic environment.
• Baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to responsibly utilize AI tools for research, analysis, and operational objectives.

Desirable Experience

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (such as GCP and AWS) and possible related certifications.
• Exposure to the semiconductor industry environment.
• Experience in web development.
• Knowledge of generative AI and large language model technologies, including retrieval-augmented generation, model tuning, and agent creation.
• Previous contributions to prestigious conferences like CVPR, NeurIPS, ICML, or KDD, though this is not a research-focused role.
