Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Scientist specialized in Smart Manufacturing and AI to conceive and implement data-driven strategies that enhance semiconductor manufacturing yield, quality, and productivity. Collaborating with senior scientists and product owners, you will build predictive models and design AI solutions tackling real-world manufacturing data challenges across die-level, wafer-level, and test domains.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy machine learning models including classification and regression for predictive and prescriptive analytics within semiconductor test and manufacturing processes.
• Participate in the architecture and execution of multi-agent systems supporting Test Solutions Engineering workflows, including code generation, automated troubleshooting, and process enhancements.
• Engage with Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines by identifying data sources, formulating retrieval methods, and elevating context quality for large language model applications.
• Support features such as tool usage, function invocation, and agent memory systems in AI frameworks.
• Produce maintainable software and analytical pipelines suitable for high-volume manufacturing, optimizing performance, latency, and efficiency.
• Work alongside senior team members to test, deploy, and monitor solutions effectively.
• Convey complex analytical outcomes and model behaviors clearly to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools to improve work efficiency, quality, and effectiveness, adhering strictly to organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contribute actively to continuous improvement by identifying and implementing AI enhancements within your work scope.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
• Passion for building a career as a Data Scientist in advanced, automated industrial manufacturing environments.
• Proficient in Python programming for data analysis and machine learning model development.
• Strong fundamentals in statistics and machine learning including supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and feature engineering.
• Experience using SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
• Competency with version control systems, notably Git.
• Experience with interactive data visualization platforms such as Streamlit or PowerBI.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills capable of clearly explaining intricate analytical findings.
• Ability to responsibly and effectively leverage AI-assisted tools for research, analytics, content generation, problem-solving, and operational tasks aligned with business goals.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with large language models, agentic AI systems, or retrieval-augmented generation pipelines from projects, internships, or academic work.
• Background in handling time-series, process, or manufacturing data, including managing concept drift and imbalanced datasets.
• Experience with cloud infrastructures like Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure and with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Exposure to ETL processes, containerization technologies like Docker, and modern web frameworks such as Angular, React, or FastAPI.
• Academic or project experience in optimization, mathematical programming, or statistical modeling.
