Credit Controller

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Credit Controller to manage a portfolio of about 600 active customer accounts. This role emphasizes managing relationships alongside credit control, focusing on steady cash collection while nurturing strong client partnerships. Collaboration with Sales and Operations teams is vital to address queries and ensure accounts remain current.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for an account ledger by ensuring prompt payments and fostering positive account relationships.
• Continuously monitor ledger health through metrics such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), aging debt, and dispute levels, proactively addressing concerns.
• Handle and resolve billing disputes by coordinating with various internal departments to eliminate obstacles to payment.
• Accurately process and allocate diverse payment methods including card and cheque transactions.
• Maintain thorough, precise documentation and logs within CRM and related systems.
• Identify potential credit risks at an early stage and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to agree on actionable strategies.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrable experience in credit control roles.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate and conduct payment-related discussions diplomatically.
• Strong analytical mindset to investigate underlying issues rather than only pursuing overdue payments.
• Organized and resilient, capable of managing priorities effectively and ensuring diligent follow-up.
• Detail-oriented with proficiency in systems and advanced Excel usage or equivalent tools.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual base salary of £26,436 plus a performance-driven bonus potential up to £9,000, disbursed monthly.
