Role Purpose

The Assistant General Manager acts as the second-in-command alongside the store director, jointly representing senior leadership within the store. This role involves supporting store managers by guiding the team towards achieving business goals while adhering to company standards and delivering excellent customer experiences. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of business aspects including product, operations, and people management. This leader inspires and directs the team, leveraging fashion and product knowledge, organizational capability, analytical insight, and adaptability to lead change and improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product: Assist the director in managing all store sections to meet sales goals; oversee product presentation and conduct regular product analysis including stock levels, competition, and market trends to inform actions for sales enhancement. Perform commercial data analysis and maintain communication with central and country sales teams.
  • Process: Aid the director in managing inventory and merchandise flows in alignment with commercial management; organize and plan staffing and operational procedures; ensure team productivity meets company standards; supervise store technology to guarantee smooth operations and customer experience; ensure adherence to omnichannel processes; lead new commercial and operational project implementations; manage store shrinkage with action plans.
  • Customer: Lead implementation of customer service standards; ensure timely resolution of customer issues.
  • People: Assist with budgeting staffing hours according to store needs; create staff schedules to match sales and operational demands; oversee employee training including onboarding and mandatory courses; support succession planning by identifying and developing potential leaders; provide recognition and constructive feedback; ensure compliance with health, safety, and occupational risk prevention standards.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of $84,000 to $95,760 annually plus potential discretionary bonuses.
