Acrylic Factory is the only producer of acrylic sheets in Qatar. Founded in 2015 and based in Doha’s New Industrial Area, the company manufactures acrylic sheets locally to deliver dependable quality, quicker turnaround times, and factory-direct pricing. Along with sheet production, it provides custom fabrication services such as cutting, forming, display units, luxury gift boxes, signage, and other tailor-made acrylic solutions. Its facility is equipped to manage projects ranging from small batches to large-scale orders, supported by a trained team and rigorous quality control.
Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site position in Doha, Qatar for a Wooden CNC Operator. The job centers on preparing, running, and overseeing CNC equipment used to produce wooden parts for acrylic-related projects. The operator will ensure that cuts, shapes, and surface finishes match technical drawings and work instructions, while maintaining accuracy, safety, and production efficiency.
Key Duties
The role includes loading raw materials, choosing suitable tools, and setting or fine-tuning CNC programs as required. The operator will carry out trial runs to confirm accuracy before moving into full production, then check finished components for quality and dimensional correctness. Routine tasks also include basic machine upkeep, keeping the work area orderly and safe, and flagging equipment faults or material inconsistencies to the relevant team.
Skills and Qualifications
Applicants should be comfortable operating CNC machinery, including setup, calibration, and safe handling. Practical experience with woodworking operations such as cutting, drilling, routing, and shaping is important, along with familiarity with milling tasks and choosing the right tooling for different wood types and thicknesses. The position also requires the ability to read technical drawings, understand CNC instructions, monitor machine performance, and support simple preventive maintenance. Strong quality-control habits, accurate measurement, and the use of calipers, gauges, and similar tools are essential. Previous work as a CNC operator, wood machinist, or in a comparable manufacturing role is an advantage. Good attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work under deadlines are also expected.
Work Arrangements
This role is based on-site in Doha and may require overtime or shift-based work depending on production demand.
