Overview
A leading financial institution in Riyadh is looking for a Vice President of Systems Development to take charge of its IT systems and infrastructure operations in the Saudi office. This senior leadership position combines team management, banking technology oversight, regulatory coordination, and close collaboration with both regional and global partners to maintain strong service levels and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide the Riyadh Systems team and ensure dependable delivery of IT support and infrastructure services.
- Manage essential banking platforms such as SARIE and Tantfeeth/Watheeq, with focus on availability, regulatory compliance, and prompt incident handling.
- Serve as the main point of contact for regulators, external vendors, and internal teams on system-related topics.
- Keep cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and business continuity arrangements current and effective.
- Improve system operations continuously through stronger documentation and team capability building.
- Assist with audits, risk reviews, and statutory or regulatory reporting obligations.
- Work with regional and global technology groups to align local systems with wider enterprise strategies.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience managing IT systems in the financial services sector.
- A strong history of handling infrastructure, incident response, and regulated systems in banking.
- Hands-on technical knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, Sybase, Citrix, and cybersecurity practices.
- Prior exposure to SARIE and T24 environments will be considered a major advantage.
- Demonstrated leadership ability along with excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Good understanding of Saudi Arabian regulatory expectations and IT governance practices.
