The role is centered on Ping Identity and includes a mix of engineering, operations, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder support. Candidates who do not meet every requirement exactly but believe they are a strong fit are encouraged to share their profile.

Key responsibilities

  • Take part in the design, implementation, and rollout of the organization’s new IAM platform.
  • Review business requests, identify suitable technical approaches, and deliver solutions through changes or projects.
  • Support both development and operations activities within the IAM function, including incident management and the planning and execution of controlled changes.
  • Assess emerging technologies, practices, and improvements that can strengthen the IAM landscape, and run proof-of-value initiatives to demonstrate business impact.
  • Look for ways to simplify work, automate repetitive tasks, and improve the overall efficiency of the platform.
  • Help prevent incidents, address recurring issues, and ensure changes are implemented safely and in a controlled way.
  • Guide junior colleagues and share IAM knowledge with other teams such as Service Desk.
  • Maintain clear documentation for IAM processes, workflows, designs, and operational runbooks.
  • Communicate actively with teammates, provide and receive feedback, and ask for support when needed.
  • Contribute as both a collaborative team member and an independent problem solver.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar IT security or IAM role, specifically with Ping Identity.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
  • Background in software development processes, source control, and issue tracking tools.
  • Strong understanding of access management, SSO, and federation technologies.
  • Hands-on experience integrating with Active Directory environments.
  • Working knowledge of web access management, federation, web services, and SOA.
  • Practical familiarity with IAM concepts such as identities, authentication, authorization, and standards/protocols including PAM, SAML, OAuth2, RBAC, and LDAP.
  • Exposure to one or more IAM platforms such as IBM, Oracle, SailPoint, CA, RSA, ForgeRock, Okta, Ping Identity, Quest, BeyondTrust, or CyberArk.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Azure AD.
  • Good grasp of REST APIs, JSON, and PowerShell.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively while understanding business value.
  • High integrity, reliability, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to connect development teams, customers, and partners effectively.
  • Strong technical documentation ability, including solution design, automation notes, and ticket records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions in business language.
  • Workshop facilitation skills, or willingness to build them, are a plus.
  • English fluency is required.
  • Familiarity with web services, SQL, and networking.
  • Experience gathering requirements, designing solutions, and translating them into a commercial environment.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and driven to get work completed.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and solid Excel-based financial modeling skills.
  • Comfortable performing under pressure and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment with multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Customer-oriented, organized, adaptable, detail-focused, and innovative.
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal, judgment, and organizational skills.
