Job description
Role overview
AlixPartners tackles highly complex, high-stakes problems by turning analysis into action quickly when it matters most. The firm focuses on creating enduring value for clients, their employees, and the communities around them. It also places strong emphasis on inclusion, diversity, authenticity, growth, and equity across its people and practices.
This Director role sits within the Middle East Digital and Technology team and is based in Riyadh on a permanent basis, reporting to a Partner. The position works across business strategy and technology, engaging with senior executives and Private Equity Operating Partners to support growth, transformation, and long-term value creation. The work blends technical depth with commercial judgment to deliver practical outcomes.
The role follows a hybrid work model that combines time at client sites or the AlixPartners office with remote working. Travel is expected, and the amount will depend on client, team, and individual requirements.
Key responsibilities
The successful candidate will help expand the firm’s digital and technology offerings across core sectors and play a central role in spotting, shaping, and developing new client opportunities, often alongside other teams within the firm.
Work examples referenced for the team include helping major global companies use technology to achieve business goals, supporting private equity investors in improving portfolio companies, and contributing to high-profile turnaround situations.
The job description notes that the list of duties is not exhaustive.
Required profile
The role calls for a senior professional with more than 15 years of combined digital consulting and industry experience. A background in a highly relevant digital and technology leadership role within industry in Saudi Arabia would be an advantage.
Strong blue-chip consulting experience is essential, especially in digital and technology strategy, operating model design, capability design, and governance design. The candidate should also have experience leading large, complex digital transformation and technology delivery programs spanning multiple workstreams.
Preferred industry exposure includes telecom, retail, and oil & gas. The role also requires strong relationship management skills, proposal development capability, commercial acumen, and the ability to help create demand for broader firm capabilities among both prospective and existing clients.
Additional expectations include a clear understanding of AI concepts and how they can be used in technology solutions, deep knowledge of technology stacks, IT architecture, technology operating models, organizational design, and ERP solutions, plus experience developing data-led, analytical approaches to improve performance through technology.
Candidates must hold valid Saudi Arabian residency or be able to obtain it, with administrative support available from AlixPartners for permits. The ability to obtain a work permit for travel and work across the EU is also required. Excellent written and spoken English is essential, while Arabic is an advantage.
The role may require work outside standard business hours when projects or needs demand it. Candidates must be comfortable working full time in both office and remote settings and be physically able to sit or stand at a computer for substantial parts of the day. They must also be willing to follow the AlixPartners Code of Conduct and help maintain an inclusive environment aligned to the firm’s core values.
