Through a global network of development hubs, the company continues to invest in software innovation so its products can support service excellence and evolving client needs.
Role Overview
The UX/UI Designer will be part of a global design function contributing to multiple products and strategic programs. This role is focused on shaping user experiences from the early stages of design through prototyping, refinement, and delivery of detailed specifications for engineering teams.
The position is based in Ireland and may involve occasional international travel to other Citco locations. The successful candidate will report to the EMEA Design Manager in London and work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Create UX deliverables such as prototypes, wireframes, service blueprints, and polished high-fidelity mockups.
- Use user feedback and business needs to continuously improve and update design specifications.
- Partner with cross-functional groups, including engineers and product managers, to build thoughtful and effective user experiences.
- Promote design-led improvements and advocate for meaningful refinements across products.
About You
You should be someone who enjoys user-focused design, understands systems thinking, and brings a strong visual design perspective. The role requires the ability to solve complex problems from early concepts through detailed execution. You should be self-driven, flexible, and confident working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
Experience and Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in UX/UI design, backed by a portfolio that demonstrates your work.
- Strong grounding in UX methods, including research, wireframing, mockups, prototyping, high-fidelity design, and usability testing.
- Experience using design systems to maintain consistency and quality across products.
- A bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
Preferred Background
- Experience with user research techniques such as interviews, analytics, and broader research methods.
- Exposure to banking, trading, or accounting-related products is an advantage.
