About the role
Established in 2024, Citco’s Experience Design group was formed to create enterprise impact through a high-standard design practice. The team works across the business to support customer experience, digital transformation, process and organizational design, and product development. Its goal is to make design a key contributor to business results. The role is based in Toronto and may involve occasional international travel to other Citco locations. You will report to the Design Director and collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and refine requirements to shape simpler and more intuitive user experiences.
- Create user flows, wireframes, detailed visual designs, and prototypes that clearly express design concepts.
- Run concept reviews and usability testing, then apply feedback to improve future iterations.
- Work in an agile, iterative way with minimal documentation when needed.
- Present design reasoning and decisions clearly to product and delivery teams.
- Build strong working relationships and contribute effectively as part of a team.
- Partner with delivery teams to ensure technical feasibility while keeping user experience at the center.
- Collaborate with fellow designers to exchange ideas and strengthen design practice across the organization.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or certificate in HCI, Design, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- At least 1 year of professional design experience for consumer or enterprise web applications.
- Strong design ability and working knowledge of Figma, Sketch, Adobe Suite, Balsamiq, or similar tools.
- Exposure to design thinking and standard user-centered design methodologies.
- Genuine interest in strong product design and creating refined user experiences.
- Experience designing responsive enterprise web applications.
- Exposure to working with a design system is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a UX Designer role or similar is required.
- A results-driven, proactive mindset and the ability to work well in teams.
- Capability to handle multiple priorities and coordinate with several teams in an agile environment.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating design process, problem-solving approach, and high-quality visual design.
- Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
