Where you'll work
Job description
About the company
Bending Spoons aims to build a long-lasting, high-performing business that serves a very large customer base, helps team members grow quickly, and operates with exceptional efficiency while maintaining strong ethical standards. The company acquires digital products to improve and run them for the long term, rather than to flip them. Changes are often substantial and are intended to accelerate innovation, improve customer outcomes, and strengthen business results. Teams are intentionally small, highly capable, and operate with the speed and mindset of a startup. AI is woven into daily work so that human judgment and machine intelligence complement each other.
This role is intended for someone who is talented, driven, and collaborative, and who wants to learn fast, make a meaningful impact, and advance their career quickly.
What you’ll do
- Create high-impact product experiences by designing strong UX and UI from early ideas through final delivery, using modern tools to explore more options faster and raise overall quality.
- Begin design work with AI support: use LLMs to clarify the goal, draft concise specifications, and spot risks, edge cases, and possible directions before opening a design tool.
- Use AI-assisted workflows to turn rough ideas into interactive prototypes and production-ready frontend code, choosing between code and Figma based on what will deliver the best outcome.
- Work closely with product managers and engineers from the outset, define UX needs early, stay involved through QA and launch, and make design decisions that account for engineering realities.
- Test and refine solutions by speaking directly with customers, running quick experiments, and using insights to improve direction; evaluate design impact through funnels, retention, and adoption metrics.
- Spot the most valuable opportunities in the backlog, build alignment around them, and move quickly on product improvements that can create real business value.
What we’re looking for
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills, with the ability to solve difficult problems from first principles and organize ideas clearly.
- A highly ambitious, self-driven mindset with persistence, initiative, and a strong sense of ownership.
- Genuine team orientation: willingness to support others, prioritize the best idea over personal preference, and work transparently and reliably.
- Professional English skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak fluently.
What’s offered
- Small, highly talented, entrepreneurial teams that are autonomous and focused on results.
- Strong growth potential, with opportunities to take on important responsibilities very quickly.
- Competitive compensation plus access to company equity; pay varies by experience, impact, and location.
- Flexible working arrangements, remote work, unlimited learning and training support, premium health insurance, relocation support, parental support, and an annual retreat in a beautiful location.
- If relocating to Italy, you may qualify for a 50% tax reduction.
Contract and location
This is a full-time role on either a permanent or fixed-term contract. The position can be based in Milan, London, Madrid, or Warsaw, and may also be remote in selected countries.
Selection process
The hiring process focuses on clear, verifiable evidence of excellence rather than seniority or résumé polish. All applicants follow the same evaluation path. If shortlisted, you may be asked to complete one or more demanding tests that can take several hours and may involve unfamiliar problems.
Applicants who have previously applied and were not offered a role are advised to wait at least one year before reapplying. Reasonable accommodations are available for candidates with disabilities.
Before you apply
This is a demanding environment with high expectations and a strong commitment to performance, which can lead to exceptional learning and career growth. New hires are encouraged to spend their first few months working from the Milan office to absorb the culture and build trust quickly, with travel and accommodation support provided. After that, work may be from the Milan or London office, or remote from approved countries, depending on what is agreed at offer stage.
