Job description

About the company

Bending Spoons aims to build a long-lasting, high-performing company that serves a large customer base, helps employees grow quickly, operates with exceptional efficiency, and creates strong value for shareholders while maintaining high ethical standards.

The company buys and improves digital businesses with the intention of operating them for the long term. Changes are often substantial and focus on accelerating innovation, improving customer outcomes, and strengthening business results. Teams are intentionally small, highly talented, and operate with minimal hierarchy. The company combines the pace and ownership mindset of a startup with established products, and it uses AI extensively so human judgment and machine intelligence work together.

This role is designed for someone who is ambitious, collaborative, and eager to learn, contribute, and progress rapidly.

Role overview

The Sales & Account Manager will help shape and grow a B2B sales organization, supporting enterprise-focused strategy while driving client acquisition and long-term account relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to building a best-in-class B2B sales team by helping define the strategy, workflows, and standards used to engage enterprise customers.
  • Find and rank promising leads using data and modern AI tools, then win business through cold calling and targeted outreach.
  • Build a strong understanding of the market, including buying behavior, key decision-makers, and commercial incentives, to develop durable client relationships.
  • Present the company’s products clearly and confidently, gather customer feedback, and pass along useful insights that can inform product decisions.
  • Review performance metrics to identify effective tactics, focus effort on the most valuable opportunities, and continually improve the sales process.
  • Provide excellent service across all interactions so that trust and long-term partnerships are strengthened.

What the company is looking for

Success in this role calls for sharp reasoning, strong personal drive, and a cooperative mindset. The ideal candidate thinks from first principles, pays close attention to important details, takes full ownership of work, and keeps a high standard for output.

They should also be comfortable working in a team-first environment, supporting better ideas regardless of where they come from, and contributing reliably and transparently. Strong English communication skills are essential.

Compensation and benefits

The company offers highly capable teams, strong growth opportunities, competitive pay, equity access for permanent hires, and a broad benefits package. Benefits include flexible working hours, remote work, unlimited learning and training support, premium health insurance, relocation assistance, parental support, and an annual retreat in a scenic destination.

For candidates with limited experience, annual compensation is typically €54,346 elsewhere in Europe and £56,345 in London. For candidates with highly relevant experience, pay can reach €145,430 elsewhere in Europe and £151,436 in London. Exceptional candidates may be offered compensation above the standard ranges. If relocating to Italy, a 50% tax reduction may be available. Permanent-contract employees may also receive part of their compensation in company equity at a discounted price.

Contract and location

This position may be offered as permanent or fixed-term, and it can be full-time or part-time.

Work locations include Milan, London, Madrid, Warsaw, or remote from selected countries. Although the role can be remote in approved locations, the company recommends spending the first few months in the Milan office to ramp up quickly, learn the culture, and build relationships. Travel and accommodation support is provided for that period. Afterward, work may continue from Milan or London offices, or remotely from approved countries, depending on the final offer agreement.

Hiring process and application notes

The selection process focuses on evidence of excellence rather than seniority. Everyone is assessed through the same process, and applicants are encouraged not to self-reject because of limited experience or an imperfect CV.

Applications are considered only through the company’s careers page. Candidates who move forward may need to complete one or more tests, which can be challenging, unfamiliar, and time-consuming. The company also notes that roles may stay open for months or be reposted several times because the hiring bar is intentionally high.

Applicants with disabilities can request reasonable accommodations during hiring. If a candidate has applied before and was not selected, the company recommends waiting at least one year before reapplying.

The role is in a demanding environment that expects significant commitment alongside strong potential for learning, achievement, and career growth.
