Job description

Role Overview

This role is a 12-month contract based in Dublin with a leading global technology company focused on enhancing online trust, safety, and marketplace integrity through the use of AI, machine learning, and data analytics. The Trust & Safety Analyst will contribute to building scalable solutions to detect abuse, minimize risk, and improve the online shopping experience for millions globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze extensive datasets to identify patterns of abuse, fraud trends, and emerging risks on an international eCommerce platform.
  • Assess and enhance machine learning models and LLM-based solutions utilized for detecting harmful actions and policy breaches.
  • Investigate intricate edge cases and ambiguous situations, converting insights into scalable strategies to improve automated detection procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Policy teams to design and implement innovative Trust & Safety measures.
  • Lead strategic initiatives aimed at boosting operational efficiency, mitigating risks, and strengthening platform integrity.
  • Create dashboards, reporting tools, and data-driven analyses that support business decision-making and product development.
  • Optimize processes and systems consistently through experimentation, analysis, and cooperation with stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

  • Background in Trust & Safety, AI Safety, Platform Integrity, Fraud, Risk, eCommerce Integrity, or Online Marketplace Safety within a technology-driven environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), machine learning principles, and AI-driven detection systems.
  • Proficiency in analyzing large data sets using SQL and leveraging insights to address complex business challenges.
  • Experience evaluating AI or ML models, identifying failure modes, and suggesting improvements for model effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage cross-functional projects and influence diverse teams including Product, Engineering, and Data Science.
  • Strong analytical mindset, problem solving abilities, and adaptability to ambiguous or complex environments.

  • Annual Salary Range: €95,000 to €108,000
