About the Role

Kempinski Hotels is seeking a dynamic Training & Quality Manager to join their Human Resources & Training department in Doha, Qatar. This role is crucial for establishing and maintaining high training standards across the hotel, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous learning. The position requires a significant hands-on approach, with 70% of the time dedicated to operational activities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a robust training network aligned with Kempinski standards, actively engaging with hotel operations.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of training needs and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented programs.
  • Oversee the implementation of corporate Training BITES, ensuring they are adapted to reflect hotel-specific policies and procedures.
  • Support departmental trainers in creating and integrating hotel-specific training modules into the Training BITE Library.
  • Ensure comprehensive integration and tracking of all Kempinski training programs and tools to monitor participant engagement.
  • Plan, design, and deliver a variety of training programs.
  • Create and execute a training marketing strategy to promote learning initiatives both internally and externally.
  • Analyze e-learning platform data to inform and enhance learning performance for management and departmental trainers.
  • Coach and mentor managers and departmental trainers to improve overall departmental performance.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to coordinate learning opportunities for the Executive Committee and Heads of Department, aligning with their Individual Development Programs.
  • Organize and oversee Kempinski DNA and brand immersion activities.
  • Proactively identify and implement innovative approaches to enhance the efficiency of training services.
  • Partner with department heads to analyze operational quality using tools like the Kempinski Experience Assessment (KEA) and ReviewPro, providing targeted remedial training based on findings.
  • Train and develop members of the Training team.
  • Conduct Kempinski Experience Assessment (KEA) Checks as directed by hotel management.
  • Identify high-potential training talent and nominate candidates for Master Trainer roles.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of the monthly Kempinski Training report and update the Regional Training Consolidation Report.
  • Fulfill the responsibilities of a Training Coordinator in their absence.
  • Lead by example, embodying and promoting Kempinski's core values.
  • Develop the annual Business Plan and Budget for the Training Department in collaboration with department heads and the ExCom team, adhering to company brand standards.
  • Conduct objective self-audits using the Kempinski Training Peer & Self Audit Tool at least annually.
  • Promote and implement Kempinski Corporate Training policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external suppliers, training providers, and relevant legal and safety entities.
  • Adhere strictly to employee handbook regulations and hotel policies concerning fire, hygiene, health, and safety.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • Essential experience in Quality Assurance.
  • Essential prior experience with Forbes Standards.
  • Proficiency in analyzing training needs and effectiveness.
  • Skilled in developing and delivering training programs.
  • Experience with e-learning platforms and data analysis.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
  • Familiarity with operational quality assessment tools (KEA, ReviewPro).
  • Ability to manage budgets and business plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership qualities and ability to lead by example.

Additional Information
