Position Summary

This supervisory role requires hands-on leadership to oversee and ensure the safe, timely, and compliant execution of daily traffic management operations. The supervisor will be responsible for coordinating crews, allocating resources, conducting site visits, and maintaining standards of safety, compliance, and quality across various sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support Traffic Management crews to achieve safe, efficient, and regulatory-compliant outcomes
• Organize daily traffic management tasks aligned with operational plans and customer needs
• Conduct routine site inspections to assess safety, compliance, quality, and team performance
• Ensure all works adhere to approved Traffic Management Plans and New Zealand Guidelines for Temporary Traffic Management (NZGTTM)
• Foster a positive safety culture and promote best practices within all teams
• Lead toolbox talks, pre-start meetings, and site briefings
• Oversee the condition and functionality of traffic management equipment and vehicles

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as a Traffic Management supervisor or leader
• Comprehensive understanding of traffic management best practices, NZGTTM standards, and site compliance requirements
• Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate field crews effectively
• Possession of a current Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) qualification is advantageous
• Relevant certifications within the traffic management industry
• Familiarity with MYTTM or comparable resource planning tools
