Job description
Position Overview
As a Traffic Control Person, you will report to the Crew Foreman and help keep traffic moving safely around active work areas.
Work Environment
- On-site role based in Cassidy, British Columbia.
- You may be assigned to different locations as needed.
- Work can take place in a range of weather conditions.
Key Duties
- Manage vehicle flow around work zones using traffic control equipment such as signs and two-way radios.
- Carry out traffic control measures according to the plan provided by the Site Supervisor or Crew Foreperson.
- Stay in contact with Site Supervisors and fellow traffic control staff to keep movement efficient and reduce delays.
- Interact with pedestrians and drivers when required.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel between multiple sites.
- Current TCP ticket.
- Prior experience working as a Flagger or Traffic Control Person.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Team-oriented with a positive approach to work.
- Comfortable in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- Safety-focused and willing to follow company policies, procedures, and best practices.
Additional Information
- Pay range: $23 to $27 per hour.
- This is a full-time, year-round position.
- Overtime may be needed from time to time.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
