Job description

Position Overview

This role focuses on aligning trade marketing initiatives through advanced analytical techniques, uncovering new strategic possibilities, and continuously refining sales plans to enhance sales and profitability within designated regions. The position requires a hybrid working model with up to 20% travel to locations including California, Texas, Arizona, Illinois, and New York.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute strategies covering Category, Trade, and Shopper marketing within assigned territories.
  • Generate insights from departmental and category data to achieve higher shares in promotion, product placement, and distribution.
  • Identify and analyze emerging growth areas within categories and propose viable new business opportunities.
  • Assess campaign performance, reporting results and advising on strategic adjustments.
  • Develop and present detailed category reviews, working collaboratively with teams such as Revenue Management, Category Management, and Field Sales to implement initiatives.
  • Manage Trade Marketing strategies including budget tracking and results communication to relevant internal parties.
  • Perform additional tasks as delegated.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field, or similar professional experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in trade marketing, brand management, or related roles.

Preferred:

  • At least 1 year experience in a broker or sales analyst capacity.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience in P&L planning and management.
  • Familiarity with database management tools like SQL or ACCESS.
  • Background in Consumer Packaged Goods industry.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Understanding of category management systems and processes.
  • Experience with SAP, BW Analyzer, and High Jump platforms.
  • Proficiency in consumer databases such as Nielsen.
  • Strong business acumen combined with analytical capabilities for planning and evaluating trade operations.
  • Capability to recommend actionable solutions even with partial data.
  • Clear and effective communication across various organizational levels, both written and verbal.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting expertise.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Access, PowerPoint, and especially Excel (Data Analysis, Pivot Tables, Graphing).
  • Ability to foster professional relationships within Trade Marketing and cross-functional teams to support collaborative work environments.
  • Comfortable operating within a matrix organizational structure.
