Role overview
SSP America is hiring a Cashier for its Tim Hortons location at Kelowna International Airport. The role focuses on providing quick, warm, and efficient service to travellers in a busy airport setting.
This position is based in a secure airport area, so a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) is mandatory. Applicants must be legally allowed to work in Canada and must be able to present the government-issued documents needed for airport security screening. These documents will be verified during onboarding under Transport Canada rules.

What you'll do
The cashier will support smooth front-counter service and help maintain an organised, clean, and welcoming food service area.
- Welcome guests in a polite and approachable way
- Take customer orders and enter them accurately into the point-of-sale system
- Handle payments and return correct change
- Set up equipment, carry out routine maintenance, clean machines, and shut down equipment properly
- Follow all opening, ongoing, and closing checklists
- Put equipment and supplies back in their designated places, tidy and organise work and storage areas including coolers and refrigerators, and empty and replace trash liners
- Carry out assigned cleaning duties using approved cleaning products to meet health and sanitation standards
What we're looking for
- At least six months of experience in a food service setting is preferred
- A high school diploma is preferred
- Strong English communication skills, including the ability to read, speak, and understand instructions while serving guests and taking orders
- Prior experience resolving customer service issues is an advantage
- Ability to remember, repeat, and promote menu offerings
- Comfort using a keyboard and POS procedures to pre-check and close orders
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in confined spaces
