Tim Hortons Cashier

Role overview

SSP America is hiring a Cashier for its Tim Hortons location at Kelowna International Airport. The role focuses on providing quick, warm, and efficient service to travellers in a busy airport setting.

This position is based in a secure airport area, so a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) is mandatory. Applicants must be legally allowed to work in Canada and must be able to present the government-issued documents needed for airport security screening. These documents will be verified during onboarding under Transport Canada rules.

What you'll do

The cashier will support smooth front-counter service and help maintain an organised, clean, and welcoming food service area.

• Welcome guests in a polite and approachable way
• Take customer orders and enter them accurately into the point-of-sale system
• Handle payments and return correct change
• Set up equipment, carry out routine maintenance, clean machines, and shut down equipment properly
• Follow all opening, ongoing, and closing checklists
• Put equipment and supplies back in their designated places, tidy and organise work and storage areas including coolers and refrigerators, and empty and replace trash liners
• Carry out assigned cleaning duties using approved cleaning products to meet health and sanitation standards

What we're looking for

• At least six months of experience in a food service setting is preferred
• A high school diploma is preferred
• Strong English communication skills, including the ability to read, speak, and understand instructions while serving guests and taking orders
• Prior experience resolving customer service issues is an advantage
• Ability to remember, repeat, and promote menu offerings
• Comfort using a keyboard and POS procedures to pre-check and close orders
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in confined spaces
