About the Company

Our client is a New York-based recruitment agency specializing in the AI market. They collaborate exclusively with rapidly growing AI and ML startups in the US, including companies backed by prominent tech investors. With a strong reputation and a high-quality inbound lead flow in a dynamic sector, they are expanding their candidate delivery team by hiring top recruitment talent from South Africa.

The Role

As a key player in the client's candidate delivery operations, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying elite AI and ML talent within the US market. You will work South African hours, aligned with US Eastern Time (approximately 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM SAST), managing the entire candidate lifecycle from initial sourcing to the first interview, in support of a New York-based client team.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and engage high-caliber candidates within the US AI and ML sector utilizing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Atlas CRM, JuiceBox, and direct outreach methods.
• Conduct comprehensive candidate screenings using structured methodologies to evaluate technical backgrounds, market suitability, and alignment with role requirements.
• Proactively manage candidate pipelines, fostering strong relationships and maintaining clear communication throughout the process.
• Align screened candidates with open job requisitions and present qualified profiles to the designated account manager.
• Re-engage and enhance existing candidate records in the Atlas database while simultaneously building a continuous pipeline of new talent.
• Participate in client briefing calls and leverage AI tools, including transcripts and LLMs, to refine sourcing strategies.
• Contribute innovative ideas to optimize sourcing workflows and improve candidate engagement tactics.

What Our Client is Looking For

• Demonstrated success in a 360-degree or delivery-focused recruitment role, preferably within the tech, AI, data, or engineering fields.
• Practical experience recruiting for the US market, including an understanding of its specific language, culture, and legal considerations (e.g., prohibition of salary history inquiries in New York).
• Proficiency in sourcing candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter; prior experience with JuiceBox or comparable platforms is highly advantageous.
• Exceptional English communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the confidence to engage senior technical professionals.
• A self-driven attitude, characterized by initiative, effective time management, and the ability to perform with minimal supervision.
• Adaptability to working US-aligned hours from South Africa (midday to approximately 9 PM SAST).
• Strong ambition and financial motivation, with a desire to build a high-performing recruitment desk and achieve significant earnings.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: R30,000 – R46,500 per month. Commission: $750 per placement for fees under $50k; $1,000 per placement for fees between $50k–$99k; $1,500 per placement for fees of $100k or more.
