Role Overview
They are hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join a high-performing team in Mississauga, Ontario. The role focuses on recruiting across a broad range of positions for both U.S. and Canadian operations, helping build a strong pipeline of talent at all levels. This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and roll out hiring approaches that attract well-matched candidates.
- Handle the full hiring cycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding support.
- Work closely with hiring managers to clarify role needs and selection standards.
- Use job boards, social networks, referrals, and direct outreach to find candidates.
- Develop and maintain talent pools for current and future hiring requirements.
- Reach out to passive candidates and stay in touch with prospects and previous applicants.
- Review resumes and applications, and conduct early-stage phone or video interviews.
- Support and guide managers through the interview process.
- Keep candidate records accurate and current in the applicant tracking system.
- Help ensure applicants have a positive experience throughout recruitment.
- Track hiring metrics and share updates with HR leadership.
- Advise on hiring practices, labor-market availability, and candidate expectations.
- Support employer branding through recruiting campaigns and social outreach.
- Look for ways to improve and modernize recruitment processes.
- Assist with documentation and audit preparation related to hiring.
- Stay informed about changing rules and regulations that affect hiring.
- Maintain the applicant tracking system so it remains current and compliant.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a closely related field.
- 2–4 years of recruitment experience covering operational, driver, professional, and management roles.
- U.S. and Canadian recruiting exposure is considered a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to run full-cycle recruitment across multiple openings.
- Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems such as Workable, iCIMS, or Taleo.
- Solid understanding of sourcing methods and recruiting channels.
- Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders and business partners.
- Excellent communication, interviewing, and candidate evaluation skills.
- Ability to manage several requisitions at once in a fast-moving environment.
- A data-focused approach and comfort using hiring metrics.
- High levels of discretion and professionalism.

Additional Information
This role is based in Mississauga, ON and is full-time and onsite. The salary range is $75,000 to $90,000. This posting is for an existing role that is currently open. The hiring process may involve artificial intelligence or automated tools to support screening, assessment, or candidate selection.
